Today, Tuesday 5th April 2011, “Good Deeds Day” will take place around the country, which was initiated by the “Good Mood Association” under the initiative of Sherry Harrison. Within the frame of this project, which exists already for the fifth consecutive year, volunteers will be recruited from all over the country in groups or as individuals to volunteer to associations and social frameworks for the benefit of the society and of the community all over Israel. |

About 400 volunteers, who joined the campaign, chose to hold their volunteering participation at the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization. The volunteers will be integrated in the intensive activities, which are currently in operation at the Organization storage facilities. Within the frame of this campaign, the volunteers will prepare the “Passover alms to the poor” – boxes of Passover kosher food for distribution to needy families through the activation of 40 food distribution centers throughout the country.
In preparation for Passover, there are an increased number of referrals for assistance compared to last year. That is why the organization has raised thousands of volunteers to pack hundreds of food products to be delivered to the needy families for the Holiday.
Among the hundreds of volunteers expected to participate in volunteer activities tomorrow, will be included also the staff and employees of commercial companies, work committees and other organizations and among them: Palmahim future High School, Mei Eden mineral water, Bank Hapoalim, the student council of the Tel Aviv 11th High School, Analyst Firm, Interceptor Systems, Integral Company, Ziff youth High School, Upended – dance group, Bnei Akiva, Sharon soccer team, Boy Scouts, and more ... |
