The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Shlomo Amar said: “From today, Jerusalem will look different”

During a moving and modest ceremony, the Volunteer And Assistance Center of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization in Jerusalem was inaugurated * The Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi Shlomo Amar Shlita, who had been bestowed the honor of affixing the mezuzah, said: “Anyone looking for good deeds, do not have to look elsewhere, come here and do all the good deeds of charity at one stroke.”

During 28 years of activities throughout the country, and during more than 23 years these took place in Jerusalem in temporary mobile warehouses, some outdoors. At a happy hour and with G-d's Help, the Volunteer and Assistance Center of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization was inaugurated at their new and spacious residence on 31 Beit Had'fus, Givat Saul – Jerusalem.

The new spacious center will provide an appropriate answer for needy families, orphans and widows residents of Jerusalem and the surrounding suburbs, and it was carefully chosen because of its convenient access to public transportation for the benefit of those assisted.

At a modest and touching ceremony with the participation of staff members, “Hasdei Naomi” volunteers and other guests, the Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi Shlomo Amar Shlita was bestowed the honor of affixing the mezuzah. This especially since Rabbi Shlomo Amar had taken the trouble to come and participate at this function, due to his deep appreciation and familiarity of many years with the “Hasdei Naomi” and its head Rabbi Yossef Cohen.

Admiringly, the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Shlomo Amar said, “from this day the city of Jerusalem will look different. Many acts of charity done in Jerusalem by the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization will be expanding and growing. This is a great privilege for the town and anyone interested in helping real charity, will join the blessed activity of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization in Jerusalem and anywhere in the country. Anyone, looking for good deeds, does not have to look elsewhere, come here and do all the good deeds of charity at one stroke.”

Rabbi Yossef Cohen, the chairman of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization, thanked with heartfelt emotion Rabbi Amar and Rabbi Shmuel Yitshaki, the Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, who too was bestowed the honor of affixing a mezuzah at the location. Rabbi Cohen also thanked the staff members, the “Hasdei Naomi” volunteers, who have been working day and night to the success of the task and put all their might and energy for the benefit of those supported.
