During a modest and moving ceremony, the mezuzot were fixed this week at the gates of the new emergency storage of the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization. This new emergency storage was created in order to supply, in times of need, food products to the 40 food distribution centers, which are operated by the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization all around the country.
This emergency storage will be operated day and night during most of the hours, in such a way that, when needed, they should supply some 500 food products packages per day to any location requested by “The Hasdei Naomi” food distribution centers.
Rabbi Yitzhak Cohen, the Finance Deputy Minister and Rabbi Ya'akov Asher the Mayor of Bnei Brak were bestowed the honor of affixing the mezuzot. They had come especially to show their support and appreciation for the activity of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization and were greeted by the chairman of “the Hasdei Naomi” Organization Rabbi Yossef Cohen, who thanked them warmly for their active stand by the side of the Organization at all times.
At this occasion, the Deputy Minister Rabbi Yitzhak Cohen quoted the verse on the work for the construction of the sanctuary from the Book of Exodus 36, 6: “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary and so the people were restrained from bringing more” – and he commented that at the end of the work on the sanctuary the people was not told to stop their offering, but all the time that there was active work for the building of the sanctuary, the people felt it and kept offering, however when the active work for the building of the sanctuary was interrupted, the people felt it and restrained itself from offering any more.
The Deputy Minister Rabbi Yitzhak Cohen said “Here too, when I see the work and the largesse of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization, I understand better the will, that exists among the members of the community, to appreciate and donate of their time and their capital, and also my will to come here to-day to this ceremony to fix a mezuzah at this location, where the motto is to give with largesse”.
Rabbi Ya'akov Asher the Mayor of Bnei Brak thanked Rabbi Yossef Cohen and the thousands of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization volunteers, who embellish the city of torah and charity in one of its largest and most important and most prominent enterprise for its support to the needy, like the Banquet Halls “Armonot Chen” from the house of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization, which gives to every one the possibility to organize a respectable ceremony, within the possibilities of his purse in a decent and discreet fashion.
At the end of this event, the Deputy Minister and the Mayor of Bnei Brak visited the emergency storage, where they met a group of volunteers, who were preparing food products packages for the food distribution centers. Without any further ado, the Deputy Minister and the Mayor rolled back their sleeves and began to help the volunteers pack the food products in the boxes.
The chairman of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization Rabbi Yossef Cohen showed them also the “Hasdei Naomi” offices, which are at all times crowded with employees and volunteers dealing with the logistics and daily management throughout the country of the whole system of charity and largesse of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organisation. |
